About Dr. Sailesh Konda

Dr. Sailesh Konda, MD is an American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) fellowship-trained skin cancer and reconstructive surgeon at Lotus Dermatology. He is board-certified in dermatology and Mohs surgery. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Florida Health System where he serves as Director of Mohs Surgery and Surgical Dermatology and Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) Fellowship Program Director.

He grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida and left the sunshine state to complete his undergraduate and medical education at the George Washington University as part of a competitive seven-year BS/MD program. He went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at Boston University/Boston Medical Center and worked as a research associate at the University of California, San Francisco. After completing his dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital and serving as chief resident during his final year, he received additional fellowship training in Mohs surgery/procedural dermatology in southern California at Loma Linda University Medical Center. During his fellowship, he also worked at Riverside County Regional Medical Center and served as a volunteer assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Riverside. He has collaborated and co-authored over 80 research publications and book chapters with colleagues from around the country. He has given over 130 invited presentations and lectures in dermatology at local, regional, and national meetings. He is a recipient of numerous scholarships and awards including the University of Florida Health Physicians Excellence in Patient Satisfaction, University of Florida College of Medicine Exemplary Teacher Award, and University of Florida College of Medicine Departmental Clinical Excellence Award.

Dr. Konda returned to Florida in 2015 and is excited to be back and take care of his fellow Floridians. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
